Daydream Laboratory

7th Baltic Biennale of Contemporary Art
Szczecin, Poland, 2007
Installation in the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the National Museum of Szczecin.

Utopia Lasztownia!

The temporary installation revolves around questions of value and priority that various activities and production processes hold. The artist offered his artworks to random pedestrians in exchange for their self-made objects. An advertisement with flyers that had been passed out through city preceded the exchange. The exchanged objects were then integrated into the installation.
The project was originally planned for the inner-city harbor, which was supposed to be modified according to reckless investment plans. The oversized signs should have been installed during the Biennale as a temporary traffic control system for the site. This however was stated not approved by the city leaders.
