Professional soldiers and women from the bondage scene intertwine in Overlap. The intersections of their bodies show vulnerable nudity and armored defence. The upgraded combat suits appear as a zoomorphic, ornamental protective shell. The stereotypical series of sex and violence is only repeated externally in the four sheets, the internal structures show potentially constant transformations. A fundamental approach of Stratmann consists in the coupling of detailed observation, confrontational interlocking and imaginative (re)forming.
